issues

I got yelled at by a turning trucker, for walking with the light but too slow. So I stopped in front of him, yelled at him, brandished my cane, told him I was disabled, etc. And he yelled even more. Eventually I moved on.

Boy, I blew up. I was walking fine, in a okay mood, then out of the blue this irritant came up, and I felt myself get instantly very mad; and I felt myself shake, even before I turned and yelled.

I think I have issues.

No; HE has issues. You have justifiable anger at being treated disrespectfully by a fellow human being. *fume* *fume*

I agree with LauraJMixon above. The trucker has issues.

Oh yeah. The trucker has more issues. I was just surprised that I blew up instantly.

There are people who think their right to pilot several-ton vehicles made out of steel is more important than the right of everyone else to not get squished. Anyone threatened by those people ought to blow up instantly! More such blowing-up and we'd have a better world.

Perhaps not being able to abide assholes is an issue, but I don't think it's the most important one to work on. You're having to lug a lot of frustrating baggage these days. It's not all that surprising that when someone who's clearly wrong tries to give you grief, it would flow in that direction.

You are absolved. Go and sin 20% less, and proceed from that. Practice a phlegmatic retort that conveys the same information without making you shake, for next time.

You're working out a year's worth of issues, and this Imbecile decides to scold you. I think he's really really lucky that the Scraps-Stare-of-Death has been temporarily disabled.

Honestly, you're entitled to be a touch hair-triggery. What's his excuse?

Not part of the thread proper, but I want to see you get better. This health stuff is the kind of thing that should happen to, well, ass truckers. Not you.
