From Vivian Jackson's debut album, Conquering Lion, an immediate sensation in Jamaica. "Run Come Rally" also was a single, dated 1976; by that time the byline was "Vivian Jackson and the Prophets". Soon people started calling him "Yabby You" after the distinctive chant of "Be-you, yabby-yabby-you" of the song "Conquering Lion"; he took that name henceforth for his music career. I have the album Conquering Lion, with 37 (!) additional tracks, retitled Jesus Dread* 1972-1977 by Yabby You. It's excellent, lots of dub tracks, reused riddim tracks, and associated material.

*"Jesus Dread" was another nickname for Yabby You. from Wikipedia: "His beliefs were markedly different from that of his Rastafarian contemporaries, believing in the divinity of Jesus rather than Haile Selassie I, earning him the nickname 'Jesus Dread'. This often prompted debate on religio-philosophical matters, and it was after one of these discussions that Jackson first headed towards a recording studio, having heard music 'like a strange ting, inside a my thoughts - like an angel a sing'."

What unusual harmonies! They sound flat, or atonal, or at the very least, atypical.

There's a lot of that on that album.
